Welcome to Year 1! 

We support the children in settling into their new classrooms and getting used to the routines of Year 1. We always have lots of exciting learning planned. In Maths, we explore place value to 10 and, in English, start The Write Stuff scheme of work, focusing on key texts that will inspire and develop the children's writing skills. In Science, we learn about seasonal changes and, in Geography, look at our local area and what it is like where we live. During Art lessons we explore line and shape.

We are always very proud of the children for their enthusiastic approach to starting Year 1 and we can't wait to make many amazing memories this year!
