Willow - Mrs Reynolds, Mrs Howard, Mrs Hutton and Mrs Oliver
We have had a fantastic and busy start to Year 2! A visit from Shefford Fire station really brought to life our history topic on ‘The Great Fire of London’ as well as reinforcing fire safety. The children have thoroughly enjoyed making books telling the story of the Great Fire and creating silhouette pictures of the burning London skyline in 1666.
We were very fortunate to have a visit from ‘The Problem Solving Company’ this term. Throughout the session Willow class persevered and used their reasoning and team work skills brilliantly to beat the co-ordinate maze.
Willow class are also proving to be super scientists throughout our topic investigating the uses and properties of different materials. We have particularly enjoyed using the microscopes and experiments to investigate the absorbency of different materials.
